Support 7 |
Prior to fire department amalgamation in 1998, the Metro Toronto Multiple Alarm Association operated this GMC ex-mechanic's van for the Scarborough Fire Dept. The van was completely renovated by club members under the supervision of the late M.T.M.A.A. Bob Viel. The yellow paint scheme was all the rage in the '70's and '80's. |

This is the rig that started it all. In 1977 it was already past its prime, but it still provided the M.T.M.A.A. and Scarborough firefighters with almost 10 years of faithful service. |
Many G.T.M.A.A. members volunteer dozens of hours each year staffing Support 7. Fires happen day and night, often in the worst weather possible. Support 7 volunteers must be prepared to answer the call whenever it comes. If you think you might be interested in serving those that protect us, contact the G.T.M.A.A.
